We strive to make the rental process as easy as possible.
When do you deliver the furniture?
We deliver at the beginning of the academic term (i.e. the first week of classes). For moves that do not occur during normal move-in times, there will be a $25 fee associated with the move. Please contact us if none of the move-in dates work with your schedule.
If I buy with one discount and a larger discount code is released later, am I entitled to the difference?
Yes! We call this our “Largest Discount Policy.” In the event that Bull City Beds announces a discount/promotion larger than a previous discount/promotion in the same fiscal quarter, the customer is entitled to the largest discount/promotion upon request—verbal, written, or otherwise.
Is there a half-year option if I plan on going abroad in the spring?
Yes, we offer a semester rental package for both our full and queen-sized beds. Please refer to our products section for more details regarding pricing and availability!
What is your privacy policy?
This policy covers how we use your personal information. We take your privacy seriously and will take all measures to protect your personal information. Any personal information received will only be used to fill your order. We will not sell or redistribute your information to anyone.
Do I need to be present in my dorm for you to set up my bed?
No, as long as we have access to your room, you do not have to be present. We will still be in communication with you before, during, and after moves even if you are not present to ensure prompt updates regarding your product status.
Do you remove and store college-owned furniture?
NO. College policy does not allow any furniture to be removed from the rooms. For on campus bed renters, we take apart the college-owned bed and store it under your new rental. Then, at the end of the rental, we put your old bed back together again! With this storage solution, not much else will be able to be stored under your bed.
What if I live off campus?
No problem! We deliver to any off campus house/apartment.
What if I damage my furniture?
All of our furniture is made of durable metal and should not break. In the unlikely event that due to regular wear and tear that a rental item does break, we will come fix it right away at no cost to you. However, if careless treatment seems to have caused the break, we will charge a small fee for replacement costs.
Isn't renting beds kind of gross?
Our mattresses are made of a blue nylon material that is antimicrobial, bed bug proof, waterproof, hypoallergenic, and dust mite resistant – plus, they're softer and more comfortable than typical dorm room beds. Blue nylon is extremely hygienic and is often used in luxury hotels for its superior cleanliness and comfort. At the end of each year, we disinfect and wash our mattresses with a cleaning solution meant specifically for nylon.
How does the rental work?
After you place an order for your desired term(s), just sit back and relax! Your order confirmation email will have links to schedule your move-in. We then deliver your bed and set it up however you like! At the end of the term(s), we email you with a form to schedule your move-out. It's as easy as that.
Do I get a full refund if I rent a bed for the fall and then fall semester ends up going online?
Customers will receive a full refund for the fall portion of their bed purchase. If spring semester becomes virtual as well, a full refund for the remaining portion of the bed will be issued immediately.
What precautions would movers take in setting up beds in order to limit the spread of germs?
In the event of another Covid-19 outbreak, movers will wipe down the mattress and frame with CDC approved alcohol wipes before the start of move-ins, with an emphasis on frequent touch points on our product. During move-ins, our movers will all be required to wear a mask and gloves. Any additional personal protective equipment will be left to the movers’ own discretion.
